Geraldine Orchard Farmshop and Cafe

The farmshop sells a large variety of fresh fruit and vegetables much of which is grown in our own orchard and adjoining market garden, Pukeko Gardens.

Our farmshop specialises in supplying Summer Fruit of all grades throught the summer months. We start picking our apple crop in mid-February, finishing at the beginning of May with Granny Smiths. We grow a variety of cooking apples, (Lord Wolseley, Peasgood Nonsuch, and Granny Smiths) as well as eating apples. First of the Royal Galas available aproximately mid-February.

Pukeko Gardens, our on-site market garden is currently supplying the shop with new potatoes (Agrias, Jersey Bennies, Rocket and Nadine) as well as garlic, leeks, spinach, Silverbeet, broccoli and Cauliflower etc. We minimize the use of sprays in our orchard and market garden. Other fruit and vegetables are sourced as locally as possible.

In our bakery section we stock a large range of artisan breads, made without preservatives or artificial colourings. The bread is made with basic ingredients from scratch. There is a good range of gluten-free breads and other products.

We sell a large range of deli products, many from local producers. There are different cold meats and sausages, free-range pork products, cheese, pates, hot and cold smoked salmon from the Mackenzie country and also sea-run salmon from Stewart Island,when available. We also sell condiments and local honeys.

We support local producers and products and try to source products as close to home as possible
